The most acquainted celebrity is the 'Petofi' muzeum furnished in the castle of Teleki, where the great poet spent his honeymoon with his wife Szendrey Juliana.
On this place the Hungarian literature enriched with 28 poems, here was born also one of the world literatur's most beautiful lyrical pearl ' At the end of September'.
Each year in September, our village Kolto and the inhabitants of the neighborhood, organize the 'Petof days ', when we remember on the poet, together with many representatives of every Hungarian region.
For the tourist groups that visit us, we organize trips of one-two days, for the sights of Maramures Country.Beside this, those who like the nature, can participate on excursions, can delight in the sight of genuine hilly and mountainous landscapes. The visitors can get acquainted with the peculiar way of life of those who are living in hilly country, and with their tradition of popular art.
